E it enacted by thauthoritye of this psent Parliament, That noe pson or psons at anye tyme from and after the feast of the Anunciacon of our Ladye next comynge shall buye, or comon and conclude to buye, any manner of Oxen Steres Ronte Kyen Heighfers or Calves, but onelye in the open fayer or markett where the same shall happen to be brought and put to sale; and shall not sell the same agayne on lyve at and in the Markett or fayer where he bought the same, duringe the tyme of the sayde Fayer or Markett, upon payne of forfayture of the double value of suche Cattell bought or solde contrarie to the tenor of this posent Acte

None shall buy Cattle except in open Market: nor re-sell them in Penalty. Double Value

Use

PROVYDED alwaye and be it furder enacted by thauctoritye aforesaide, That yt it shalbe laufull for all and everie Proviso for Cattle pson and psons to buy any Oxen Steres Ronte Kyen Heighfers and Calves or any of them, out of anye open fayer or bought for private markett, for his or their pyysion for their Household Teame or Dayry at his or their will or pleasure, to be employed and spent only in keping & maynten'nce of his or their House or for their Teame or Dayrie and not otherwise

AND be it further enacted by thauctoritie abovesaide, That noe pson beinge a Bucher and usinge the crafte or mysterie of Butcherie, shall at anye tyme after the saide Feaste buye anye fatte Oxen Steres Ronte Kyen Heyghfers Calves or Shepe, and sell or cause to be soulde the same agayne on lyef; uppon payne of forfeyture of everie suche Oxe Stere Ronte Cowe Heighfer Calfe or Shepe bargayned or soulde contrarie to the forme of this psent Acte

PROVYDED alwaye that all and everie pson and psons beinge a Butcher and usinge the arte and mysterie of Butcherie, shall and maye, at his and their will and pleasure, buye anye fatte Oxen Steres Ronte Kyen Heyghfers Calves and Shepe or anye of them out of any open fayer or markett, so that suche Bucher sell not nor cause to be soulde the same agayne on lyffe as ys aforesaide, anye thinge conteyned in this Acte to the contrarie notwithstandinge

THE one Moytie of all whiche forfeytures shalbe to our Soveraigne Lorde the Kinge his heires and successors, and Application of the other moytie to him or them that will sue for the same in any of the King Courte of Recorde, wherin no wager Forfeitures. of lawe esoyne or ptectyon shalbe allowed for the Defendaunte or Defendauntes: This Act to endure to the ende of Continuance of Act. the next Parliament
